Nuaire’s innovative strategy named Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) is the UK’s most popular method of low-energy whole home ventilation.

The Nuaire product range can cure condensation dampness and remove pollutants from the home. This can be achieved with the low-energy Drimaster range for homes with lofts, or the compact Flatmaster range for homes without lofts.

Ideal for Retrofit Projects

Easy to install and extremely cost-effective to run, this ventilation strategy will create a fresh and healthy indoor environment, curing condensation dampness and drastically reducing the level of Radon gas, allergens and other pollutants that enter the home.

Cost-effective Ventilation for New Build Projects

Easy to install and extremely cheap to run, these energy-saving systems will help you meet current building regulations and ensure a fresh and healthy indoor environment.

How it works

New houses are being built with better construction methods and are more airtight, which can lead to condensation dampness and poor indoor air quality if adequate ventilation is not provided. The drive towards more energy efficient homes through building fabric combined with the condensation and pollutants generated from every day activities such as washing, cooking, smoking and cleaning can create poor indoor air quality that is damaging the health of the occupants and the building fabric.

New homes are not alone in suffering from poor ventilation. Many older homes are inadequately ventilated, and often the steps we take to improve insulation older homes through installing new windows and adding loft insulation can further decrease the natural ventilation. Washing, cooking, cleaning and drying clothes indoors all contribute to the creation of condensation and pollutants in the air.

The Nuaire Drimaster and Nuaire Flatmaster ranges provide whole home ventilation based on the popular Positive Input Ventilation principle. Essentially, the concept is to introduce fresh, filtered air into the dwelling at a continuous rate, encouraging movement of air from inside to outside. To achieve this, the unit is mounted in the loft space (Drimaster) or in the kitchen or hallway (Flatmaster), drawing air through the filters and inputting it into the property.

A property installed unit will ensure that old, contaminated and moisture-laden air in your home is continuously diluted, displaced and replaced with good quality, fresh air. The result is an environment in which condensation dampness cannot exist, and where allergens and pollutants are kept to a minimum.

Both PIV ranges are quick, cost-effective and easy to install, making them an ideal solution for both new build and RMI projects.

Suitable Applications

  • The Nuaire Drimaster range offers whole home ventilation for two and three story homes with lofts.
  • The Nuaire Flatmaster range offers whole home ventilation for homes without lofts and can be used to ventilate cellars and basements.

Nuaire Flat Masters

The units are sold on a supply and fit basis, its essential the unit is installed by a professional who is both an electrician and more vitally ventilation trained.

If the unit is not fitted in the correct location it will not function at its optimum performance and also invalidate the manufactures guarantee if not installed by an approved installer.

A non-professional could be in breach of the building and electrical regulations potentially causing an electrical fire if overloading circuits. This may invalidate your household insurance.

The Nuaire Flatmaster 2000 is a highly effective anti-condensation fan incorporating an integral thermostatically controlled heater. The unit is designed for use in flats, apartments and basements.

The unit supplies positive input ventilation for the removal of excess moisture laden air to reduce the incidence of damp and mould on walls and ceilings.

The Nuaire Flatmaster 2000 is designed to take fresh air from outside, clean the air, warm it and discharge it into the central hallway. A manual boost switch can also be supplied for occasions where additional ventilation is desirable in order to expel odours.

  • Unit Complies with Building Regulations
  • Very low power consumption
  • With or without Integral heater
  • Option of manual boost switch
  • significantly improves indoor air quality
  • Highly effective Condensation control system for flats

Nuaire Drimaster Condensation Fans (above) are Nuaire’s entry level positive input ventilation units which gently supply tempered, filtered air into the home. The ventilator utilises unused heat within the roof space to take advantage of the free thermal gain. Positive input ventilation removes indoor air pollutants such as carbon monoxide and keeps out traffic fumes, pollen and outdoor pollutants.

The loft-mounted NuaireDrimaster fan draws air through the filters and continuously supplies fresh, filtered air into the house to encourage movement of moisture-laden air from inside to outside its features are:

  • Unit Complies with Building Regulations.
  • Very low power consumption.
  • Whisper quiet operation.
  • With or without Integral heater.
  • Option of manual boost switch.
  • Significantly improves indoor air quality.

The Nuaire Drimaster 365

Nuaire 365 Heat Recovery Unit (above) for effective condensation control. This heat exchange fan provides a continuous air change with minimum heat loss. This HRV unit provides an effective solution for severe condensation problems.

Unlike conventional extractor fans, heat recovery ventilators contain two fans, one to take out household air and the other to draw in fresh air. The two air streams flow through a highly efficient heat exchange unit via a series of narrow alternating passages. The heat energy in the extracted air is transferred to the incoming fresh air. The airstreams never mix allowing 80% of the exhaust heat energy to be recovered and reused.

The heat recovery fans run continuously at low speed providing constant background ventilation. When the humidistat registers high level of humidity the ventilation unit switches to boost setting to quickly expel the moisture laden air to control condensation.

Our price to supply and fit Nuaire Drimaster 365 is £775.00 + VAT
